Filham Funday was first organised in 2003 by the Lions club of Ivybridge in order to provide a fun day for the residents of Ivybridge and surrounding areas and raise funds for some local beneficiaries. The idea of the day is to have Fun! Yes, even the organisers have fun! Over the last 4 years over £4000 has been raised by Filham Funday.
In 2007 the event was held at the Elisabeth Svendsen Trust, Ivybridge. The location for the event changed due to the installation of the gas pipe for the new power station in Plympton. Activities and live performers kept the crowds entertained throughout the day The whole event was a great day out for the family with many things to see and do right up until the closing time.
Filham Funday is the biggest event of the year organised by the Lions club of Ivybridge. The Lions Club of Ivybridge also hold other various events throughout the year. Visit The club website at www.ivybridgeonline.com/lions
